INT. LIZ’S BEDROOM - LATE AFTERNOON

The robots scuttle around, fixing up the bedroom, removing the last traces of destruction.

Outside, the occasional half-hearted BOOM of weapons.

Several tiny spider robots march in. Between them they hold a stretcher. On it, Liz is asleep.

The robots lift her up onto the bed.

Anna helps them carefully transfer Liz from the stretcher.

They try not to wake her… But Liz wakes anyway.

She looks around blearily.

She tries to sit up. The sudden movement leaves her dizzy.

ANNA

Slowly…

Slowly, she tries again. Anna helps her.

Anna hands her a glass of water.

LIZ

I–Magic…

ANNA

Yes, you can do magic. It freaked Hannah out a wee bit.

LIZ

Where is she?

ANNA

I was hoping you might know.

Liz looks at Anna, confused. She takes a gulp of water.

ANNA (CONT’D)

She went off to rescue you. The King and Peter took her. Seems they were working together…

(beat)

How did you get away?

LIZ

Accident. There was a door unlocked. I ran. She chased. Then suddenly I was somewhere else, falling, then water, then–

She reaches a hand to cover her eyes.

LIZ (CONT’D)

It hurt…

Anna reaches a metal arm around Liz.

ANNA

Could you tell where you were? Where The King took you?

LIZ

I know where they were. And I know… I know what we have to do…

INT. KITCHEN - PETER’S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON

Hannah paces.

A fluctuating semitransparent blue forcefield contains her in the corner.

Peter’s mother polishes The King’s shoulder cannons. Peter talks at Hannah.

PETER

I know you are ambitious, sweetheart.

Peter’s mother snorts.

PETER (CONT’D)

I’ll still let you have a business. Something more proper. A restaurant, perhaps? We already have a ton of chefs you could choose from.

PETER’S MOM

You shouldn’t tempt her, Peter. She’ll get ideas.

PETER

(sternly)

You hear that? Don’t get any ideas, honey.

Hannah rolls her eyes. Continues pacing.

She looks out the window.

The late afternoon sun shines over the barn and through the tall grass.

It catches her off-guard.

She tears her gaze away, down–

Under the window hangs the teardrop-shaped pendant.

She reaches for it.

PETER

The President seemed fond of that thing.

He seems almost remorseful…

She glances at him, then picks it up.

There’s a loud THUMP as Peter’s mother puts The King’s shoulder cannon on the ground; Hannah doesn’t notice.

Hannah stares at the pendant.

On the one side: ALWAYS. On the other: REMEMBER.

HANNAH

Remember… Always…

INT. HANNAH’S LAB - LATE AFTERNOON

Liz reaches the staircase.

ANNA

You shouldn’t go up there.

LIZ

But you’re not going to stop me.

INT. KITCHEN - PETER’S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON

She feels around it… Grasps it… Pulls…

It unfolds…

INFINITY.

INT. HANNAH’S BEDROOM - LATE AFTERNOON

Liz looks around.

LIZ

I know it, I know it…

ANNA

Know what?

LIZ

We’re almost hovering, but chained down. The building could crumble, she says, but we’d be fine. I know, Anna. I know what this place can do…

She closes her eyes and looks around.

Steps towards the wall with the hidden door–

She opens her eyes. Spots the infinity symbol.

Her hand reaches towards it.

ANNA

You can’t go in there. Anywhere, but not there. Please.

Anna doesn’t need to breathe, but seems about to hyperventilate.

LIZ

I know. But I must…

She reaches out.

ANNA

(half to self)

No, please, not there. Not in there. We don’t go in there. It doesn’t exist. We forget. Forget. Forget her. Forget her.

INT. KITCHEN - PETER’S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON

Hannah’s fingers trace the infinity symbol.

HANNAH

Remember… Always…

INT. HANNAH’S BEDROOM - LATE AFTERNOON

Anna mutters to herself.

ANNA

Forget. Forget. Forget! Forget!

Liz traces over the infinity symbol on the wall.

It glows.

The hidden door slides open.

INT. KITCHEN - PETER’S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON

Hannah glances up

Neither Peter nor his mother are paying her any attention.

Peter’s mother is concentrating on a princess figurine… She’s trying to force a sphere of magic into it…

HANNAH (CONT’D)

I know what you’re doing…

INT. HIDDEN CHAMBER - HANNAH’S LOFT - LATE AFTERNOON

YULIANA sits In the middle of the chamber.

She is a robot. Her head is missing. Out of her neck comes many cables, connecting to points all around the room.

Liz looks at Yuliana, confused.

LIZ

You feel like Hannah…

YULIANA

(from around room; Hannah’s voice)

Please help me… Please… Let me go… Let me fly away… Please…

LIZ

You’re Hannah…

Yuliana stopps muttering.

YULIANA

I am Yuliana. I am truth.

INT. KITCHEN - PETER’S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON

Peter’s mother’s concentration is lost.

HANNAH

(dazed)

The truth…

(to Peter’s mom)

You are so blind…

PETER’S MOM

No thanks to you.

HANNAH

You don’t get it…

She looks down at the pendant.

HANNAH (CONT’D)

That truth that I hide from myself…

INT. HIDDEN CHAMBER - HANNAH’S LOFT - LATE AFTERNOON

Yuliana trembles.

YULIANA

Please help me?

Liz gulps.

She steps towards Yuliana. Puts a hand on her shoulder.

LIZ

Hannah… Yuliana… I don’t know what you are, but… I think I know what you can do. You control this place, don’t you?

(beat)

You don’t need me to let you go. Fly. Fly, Hannah. Fly away! Fly away, with me!

She grasps one of Yuliana’s robotic hands.

LIZ (CONT’D)

Fly to where it began. You can, can’t you? I see it. I _feel _it. I _know _it.

YULIANA

Please… Help me… Please?

LIZ

Please, Yuliana… Fly.

For a moment, nothing, then–

RUMBLE.

The walls SHAKE. SLIDE into the floor.

The orange afternoon light shines through the glass…

EXT. FLY, INC. SKYSCRAPER - CONTINUOUS

The tower RUMBLES.

The LAB at the top SHAKES.

The tether-like supports SNAP and FALL.

The LAB begins to spin, then–

ROAR!

The infinity-shaped lab SEPARATES FROM THE TOWER AND FLIES AWAY.

INT. KITCHEN - PETER’S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON

Hannah shakes her head.

HANNAH

You’re trying to force your being into those little physical forms, but you’re so much more than that…

She stares at her own hand.

HANNAH (CONT’D)

We are so much more than that…

INT. HIDDEN CHAMBER - HANNAH’S LOFT - LATE AFTERNOON

All around is glass: the floor, the ceiling, the walls…

Below and around is the city, the sun reflecting off the tall buildings.

They finish their ascent, and then, Liz holds on for dear life as they FLY AWAY at high speed.

INT. KITCHEN - PETER’S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON

Hannah looks up, completely focused.

HANNAH

I know what you are doing. You’re trying to put part of yourself into that. To control it.

(beat)

You’re trying to do the thing I’ve tried my hardest to forget I could do.

(beat)

The _only _bit of magic I could ever do.

Peter and his mother are confused. Shocked. Unsure what to do.

She smiles a predatory smile.

HANNAH (CONT’D)

And you _suck _at it.

The princess figurine shakes, then–

POP.

In the figurine’s place, there’s a second Hannah in the room.

Then, from behind Peter’s mom, yet another Hannah speaks:

HANNAH 3

Let me show you how it’s done.

Peter’s mom spins around.

Hannah PUNCHES her in the face!

Items all over the room are turning into copies of Hannah: the table, the chairs, the desk, the knives, and then–

BRIGHT LIGHT shines through the windows.

The house RUMBLES.

ROAR!

Peter and his mother grab things to stay upright.

Hannah stumbles.

The wall behind her EXPLODES!

A mechanical spider stares in.

Hannah STUMBLES out of the house. The spider legs grab her, and fly her away.

EXT. PETER’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

The giant infinity symbol that is Hannah’s Lab hovers above the house.

Slowly spinning, it comes in for a landing.

INT. KITCHEN - PETER’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Peter rights himself.

He spots Hannah, rushes to her.

PETER

Hannah, thank goodness…

She smiles at him.

He smiles back, hopeful.

She just shakes her head.

PETER (CONT’D)

Wha–

POP.

The princess figurine clatters to the floor.

The chairs, table, and everything else all revert to normal.

There’s not a Hannah in sight.

INT. HANNAH’S LAB - CONTINUOUS

The glass elevator doors slide open.

The spider flies unsteadily, Hannah in its grip.

Gently, it places her on the ground.

Liz embraces Hannah.

HANNAH

I’m–

LIZ

I know.

HANNAH

I remember. I tried to forget, he left and I hated myself so much, and I hid away and…

She begins to cry.

HANNAH (CONT’D)

This ability to put myself into things… I hated it so much. It was magic, and _he _was magic, and… So, I put my knowledge, my truth, into her… And I put my vengeance into Anna. And I forgot. I _wanted _to forget.

(beat)

I forgot I could be strong.

Hannah shakes her head, half laughing, half crying.

HANNAH (CONT’D)

But it doesn’t work like that. It’s close, but not perfect.

(beat)

We’re infinite, see? Really infinite. And infinity’s not an amount. It’s a promise. It’s an always. You can’t just put all of your vengeance, all of your truth, all of your strength into something. You’ll always get more.

(whisper)

Not even our bodies can contain us. The infinity of our being will always escape one day…

She looks into Liz’s eyes.

HANNAH (CONT’D)

I remember. I remember the always. I remember myself. I remember–I remember…

They stare into each other’s eyes for a moment.

Hannah leans in, then–

BOOM!

Blue light shines in through the windows. They look–

BOOM!

Another blue fireball SPLASHES against the window.

It’s Peter’s mom. She’s dressed as The King, but is missing her helmet.

She’s very, very angry.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The fireballs have no effect.

She disappears in a blast of blue flame.

POOF!

She reappears in the same spot, SCREAMING in frustration.

Peter walks up behind her.

LIZ

Your lab is really awesome.

Hannah smiles.

Then, she grimaces.

HANNAH

I’m _not _staying in here forever. Not anymore.

Outside, the noise grows LOUDER: Choppers FLY overhead, shining lights all around; tanks ROLL in.

Liz grabs a weapon off a table.

It’s the flamethrower, but different.

It looks rather haphazardly put together: a sharp roughly-cut flame-shaped iron blade is bolted onto the top.

A small purple flame flickers at its tip.

Hannah smiles at Liz.

EXT. HANNAH’S LAB/PETER’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

The tanks surround the lab.

The choppers wait.

Soldiers swarm out of their Humvees.

Peter and The King stand in front of the lab.

They stare down the army.

INT. HIDDEN CHAMBER - HANNAH’S LOFT - SUNSET

Hannah, now in armor, stands with Liz.

On Hannah’s back: the flying carpet. On Liz’s: her flamethrower.

They look into each other’s eyes.

The lab begins to SHIFT around them.

The floor RISES; the rest DISASSEMBLES and OPENS.

Robot spheres begin to SWIRL around them as they RISE.

They lean in towards each other…

They kiss.

EXT. HANNAH’S LAB/PETER’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

A small circular platform rises into the air as the couple standing upon it KISS.

Robots of all kinds SWARM around them: spheres, spiders, and flying energy weapons.

On the ground, everyone looks up at the couple…

The kiss ends.

They look into each others eyes, still embracing each other.

Their helmets hover down onto their heads.

They smile…

They lean back…

They FALL BACKWARDS.

Small spiders GRAB them and fly away.

The rest of the robots SWARM out at the army below.

BULLETS and PULSES OF ENERGY fly EVERYWHERE.

Helicopters FALL into the crowd and EXPLODE.

GENERALS

FIRE!

IT HAS BEGUN.

Several spiders CLEAR AN AREA, and Hannah and Liz LAND in the middle.

Liz LEADS THE WAY into the fray, a vengeful force of nature.

Purple fire STREAMS from her flamethrower and SWAMRS around her and through the army ahead.

As Hannah walks, rocks on the ground vibrate, then…

They become CLONES of Hannah, each with her own weapon. As they walk, debris around them forms into yet more clones.

Liz LEADS the army of Hannahs into the battle.

The robot SPHERES flying through the crowd PIERCE tanks; others fly beneath and FLIP THEM OVER.

Anna is having the time of her life.

She STANDS upon the top of a 30-foot-tall metal spider that RAINS DESTRUCTION upon the army below.

She JUMPS into the fray. STEALS a gun; uses it to KNOCK OUT soldiers.

Peter and The King SHOOT FIREBALLS into the battle. They’re met with bullets.

PETER

(to King)

Find Hannah!

Something CRASHES into the ground behind them.

HANNAH

I’m right here, sweetie!

Hannah stands from where she landed.

Around her, a dozen energy weapons AIM at Peter and The King.

The King shoots at them.

Peter POPS away to behind Hannah.

He begins to build a BALL OF BLUE FIRE in his hands–

PETER

OOF!

Liz SLAMS him into the ground.

With a BANG, Liz is thrown off him.

She lands on her feet, flamethrower aimed right at Peter.

WHOOSH!

Purple fire SHOOTS at Peter, igniting all the grass around him.

Peter shields with his own blue flame, but the purple fire leaps around him!

The wall of purple fire ENCIRCLES Peter.

Liz walks through it.

EXT. FOREST - CONTINUOUS

Hannah CHASES The King into the FOREST. Each BLAST AWAY soldiers and tanks in their way.

BOOM! BOOM!

Blast after blast from Hannah’s weapon hit trees.

The setting sun streams through the branches.

The King laughs.

KING

I am your King, honey.

Hannah fires into a shadow. A tree TOPPLES over.

The sunlight begins to dim.

Hannah fires into a dark spot, but now, everywhere’s a dark spot.

EXT. FIELD - CONTINUOUS

The sphere of fire around Peter GLOWS, hit by projectile after projectile.

Then–

BANG!

It explodes. Lis FLIES backwards.

She stands unsteadily.

Peter reaches an arm out towards her.

Her arms and legs all shoot in separate directions.

Her flamethrower goes flying.

Peter stalks up to her, a malevolent smile on his face.

EXT. BARN - CONTINUOUS

The TANKS chase Anna into the barn.

She rushes in; out the other side–

They’re waiting for her.

Her robotic eyes open wide–

EXT. FOREST - CONTINUOUS

The darkness is complete.

KING (CONT’D)

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King.

The blue flames in The King’s eyes glow in the dark.

Hannah shoots, but they’ve already moved. The light from the blast is suffocated almost immediately.

EXT. BARN - CONTINUOUS

Anna lays on the ground.

Her face is SHATTERED.

The infinity symbol in her chest is CRACKED.

EXT. FIELD - CONTINUOUS

Peter holds Liz’s face in his hand.

In his other hand, a fireball forms.

He lifts the blue fire to her face.

She tries to look away, but she can’t–

EXT. FOREST - CONTINUOUS

Hannah messes with something in the darkness.

Something… Many somethings whir through the air.

KING

And honey, I’ve got two eyes.

The King’s eyes suddenly stare right into Hannah’s own. Their blue flames illuminate Hannah’s face.

Hannah’s visor is down, and something’s projected in it…

The King grabs Hannah’s neck.

Hannah smiles.

INT. HANNAH’S HELMET - CONTINUOUS

Hannah sees the forest clearing from all angles.

HANNAH

I’ve got eyes everywhere, “Honey.”

EXT. FOREST - CONTINUOUS

She KICKS The King in the stomach.

The King releases her. Hannah FIRES.

BOOM!

The King flies back into a tree.

EXT. BARN - CONTINUOUS

The cracked infinity sign in Anna’s chest flickers. The light pulsates unevenly…

It shakes wildly…

Then, something FLIES OUT and hits one of the soldiers.

He blinks. Shakes himself.

SOLDIER

Cool!

He SLAMS his gun into a couple of the other soldiers. One SHOOTS HIM DONW–

Something flies out into another soldier. He grins.

The rest RUN AWAY.

EXT. FIELD - CONTINUOUS

Peter brings the fireball to Liz’s face. Her visor’s up, she’s unprotected, but–

PETER

OOF!

The flamethrower FLIES through the air and BLUDGEONS Peter!

Peter’s concentration is broken. Liz falls to the ground.

She stands, and grabs the flamethrower from the air.

She puts the flame-shaped blade against Peter’s throat.

Blood pools around the blade.

PETER

Are you going to kill me?

EXT. FOREST - CONTINUOUS

The darkness flickers, but holds.

BOOM! BOOM!

The King dodges one blast from Hannah’s energy weapon, but the other HITS!

The darkness fades out; the setting sun again softly illuminates the forest.

The King takes out her knife.

She THROWS.

Hannah doesn’t flinch.

Four spheres CATCH the knife in their claws, INCHES away from Hannah’s face!

They turn it around. They SHOOT at The King!

The knife SLICES through a soft point in The King’s armor, and into her stomach.

The King lurches.

She falls against the tree.

Hannah walks up to The King.

She aims her gun at The King’s head.

BOOM.

EXT. FIELD - CONTINUOUS

The blade of the flamethrower digs into Peter’s neck.

LIZ

I’m not going to kill you. Hannah is. I am going to watch.

(beat)

Three… Two…

Liz takes a step back.

THUMP!

Hannah, flying on the carpet, SLAMS into Peter.

They tumble across the ground.

Hannah lands on top.

PETER

Hannah–

She holds The King’s knife against Peter’s already-bleeding throat.

HANNAH

You said I was weak.

The army of Hannahs collects behind the main Hannah.

PETER

I said–

BEGIN FLASHBACK

EXT. EVENT PLAZA - DAY

The Shadow’s knife DIGS into Hannah’s neck. A trail of blood flows down.

HANNAH (O.S.)

You said I was helpless.

PETER (O.S.)

I was–

HANNAH (O.S.)

I remember now. I remember what I made myself forget…

A spinning, hovering cube SHOOTS out of Hannah’s bag.

It RUSHES at The Shadow!

Its sharp edge GOUGES The Shadow’s face across the eyes.

The Shadow releases Hannah. The knife falls to the ground.

Hannah grabs it– Raises it– Prepares to strike–

She THROWS!

Just before it stabs straight through The Shadow’s head… The shadow disappears in a ball of BLUE FIRE.

END FLASHBACK

EXT. FIELD - BEFORE SUNSET

Hannah lies on top of Peter.

In her hand, the knife STABS through Peter’s stomach.

The army of Hannahs has gone.

HANNAH

I was never weak.

Peter struggles to speak.

PETER

Forgive… Me?

She looks into his eyes. A tear drips down her face…

She pulls out the knife.

Her other hand strokes Peter’s face.

She stares him straight in the eyes.

HANNAH

No.

She plunges the knife into his heart.

Something leaves Hannah–a glowing piece of her.

She reaches for it. Grabs it…

She lets it go.

It fades away.

She stands. Turns to Liz.

Hannah collapses into Liz’s arms.

Anna–in a newer, shinier body–walks up behind them.

The battle around has all but ended: spiders march through, bending tank cannons, confiscating soldiers’ weapons.

EXT. FIELD - SUNSET

Hannah digs through the rubble of Peter’s house.

LIZ

What are you–

HANNAH

Got it!

Hannah pulls out the lighter.

It’s slightly dinged, but the name “HANNAH” is still visible etched into the side.

She flicks it.

It lights.

She smiles.

She turns to Anna.

HANNAH (CONT’D)

You can take care of the world.

ANNA

(joking)

Gonna put that part of you into me?

HANNAH

(smiling)

For now.

ANNA

You don’t want to stay and look over my shoulder?

HANNAH

No.

She grabs Liz.

HANNAH (CONT’D)

I’m going to fly away.

She leans in for a kiss.

EXT. SKY - SUNSET

On the flying carpet, the two break their kiss.

Holding hands, they fly away into the sunset.
